Sister Sophie is based in the Greater Toronto Area with its headquarters in Markham. We advocate liberal arts thinking and currently provide literacy and literature programs to more than 300 students in Canada and China. We also integrate higher education sources in Ontario to improve our students’ English language accuracy, critical thinking and overall abilities for effective participation in Canadian society. Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic individual to join our organization as the Vice President at our school. As the Vice President, you will play a pivotal role in leading and directing the strategic growth, coordinating resources within our organization for the marketing department, and ensuring successful marketing activities and overall development of the company.
What will you do in this role?
· Develop and articulate a compelling vision and strategic objectives for our school, ensuring alignment with the institution's mission and goals.
· Provide strategic direction and guidance to the marketing manager and the marketing team. Supervise the development of marketing strategies, plans, and campaigns, making sure they align with our goals.
· Supervise and mentor the marketing manager, providing support, feedback, and guidance. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging professional development and growth within the team.
· Establish and approve comprehensive policies and programs that drive the school's growth, enhance its reputation, and maintain high educational standards.
· Work with the marketing manager to develop and manage the marketing budget. Ensure resources are allocated effectively to maximize ROI and achieve marketing objectives.
· Oversee and approve comprehensive personnel planning strategies, including recruitment, professional development, and performance management, to foster a talented and motivated workforce.
· Foster effective communication and collaboration between the marketing department and other departments within the organization. Ensure alignment and coordination of marketing efforts with overall business strategies.
· Review and provide input on marketing campaigns and initiatives proposed by the marketing manager. Ensure they are aligned with the overall marketing strategy and meet business objectives.
· Act as the primary representative of the school in negotiations, official functions, and external engagements with key stakeholders, fostering strategic partnerships and alliances.
· Cultivate a culture of diversity, inclusion, and excellence within the institution, ensuring a supportive environment for all students and staff members.
Expected Qualifications
· A university degree in business administration, education, or other discipline related to the education industry is required.
· Minimum 3 years of working experience in a senior role in an education institution or a related industry.
· Familiarity with the operation of an education organization is an asset.
· Excellent organizational and decision-making skills, with the ability to establish clear objectives and policies.
· Demonstrated expertise in personnel planning and team development.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to represent the organization effectively.
· Ability to coordinate the work of multiple departments or divisions.
· Experience in negotiating and collaborating with external stakeholders.
