Primary Job Duties:
- Overseeing all supply chain operations: Managing the entire supply chain process from procurement to delivery. The aim is to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in the flow of goods and services.
- Analyzing and optimizing logistical procedures: Examining current logistics processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. It could include using data analytics to predict trends and optimize routes.
- Ensuring timely pick-up and return of the containers: Coordinating with carriers to schedule pick-ups and deliveries, monitoring the transit of goods, and ensuring that shipments arrive safely and on time to avoid incurring additional costs.
- Monitoring shipments, costs, timelines, and productivity: Keeping a close eye on the progress of shipments, the costs associated with transportation, the timelines for delivery, and the overall productivity of the logistics operations.
- Addressing and resolving shipment and inventory issues: Quickly responding to any problems that arise during the shipment or inventory processes, such as delays, lost items, or damaged goods, and finding effective solutions to resolve these issues.
- Liaising and negotiating with suppliers and retailers: Building and maintaining good relationships with suppliers and retailers. Regularly follow up on discount prices with account managers of major logistics companies in the market such as UPS and FedEx.
- Preparing Freight Quotes: Calculating and providing cost estimates for shipping goods, considering factors such as distance, weight, mode of transportation, and any additional services required. Helping customers understand their shipping costs upfront.
- Prepare and process all customs documents for International & U.S. shipments: prepare the necessary customs clearance documents and hand them over to the customs broker to submit on our behalf.
Expected Qualifications
· Minimum completion of a post-secondary education program of less than two years in Business or Supply Chain Management or extensive experience as a dispatcher, production clerk or scheduling clerk is required.
· 1-2 years professional experience in logistics or warehousing agency is required.
· Experience in developing supply chain operations, inventory and transportation.
· Strong understanding of Microsoft office and data management.
· Ability to analyze and optimizing logistical procedure.
· Ability address and resolve s customs, shipment, and inventory issues.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills cultivated from carriers and customer-facing experience.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, confidence and the ability to work with all levels of staff and management within a large international company.
